I was always an amateur runner. One day my neighbor, who is pro, asked me to run with him. I agreed. After training he told me that I am very good and that I should think more seriously about running. He asked me: "What's your run distance?" I did not know what to tell him. How to establish my run distance?

I had same problem couple years ago. I think that it is the first dilemma you must face with. But you have to know your boundaries. You must choose between long and short distances. What is your best side? Is it your speed or your endurance? Maybe is the best to try with 5 km race to see your possibilities.
