Hi, I am suffering from diabetes type 1 too. My answer on your question may be pretty philosophic but optimal treatment is every treatment which keeps your blood sugar in proper range. You need to consult your doctor and to combine long lasting doses of insulin with short lasting in the way which is the most suitable for your metabolism.
