I am 18 years old now and next year am suppose to go to the college and I would like to hear what education is required for a naturopathic doctor for I am interested in becoming one. How long it would take me and would I gain basic medical knowledge there also? Thanks!

Of course you would get the general medical knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, histology, immunology, pathology and diagnosing skills including diagnostic physical examination, lab and blood tests and x-rays. Becoming a naturopathic doctor takes about 3 years followed by another 4 years at some recognized college and during those four years you should gain the basic knowledge of homeopathy, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medicine, clinical and botanical medicine. The important part of naturopathic medicine is counseling as essential part of naturopathic diagnosing and you would also be counseling trained on naturopathic university.
