Glucotrol is a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. [b[/b] is part of a group of diabetes drugs called sulfonylureas. Glucotrol helps the pancreas make more insulin. It also helps the cells respond better to insulin. This drug keeps diabetes under better control. This medicine is used in non-insulin-dependent diabetes. Glucotrol is not used to treat type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes (formerly juvenile-onset).

Hi there, what's the benefit to glucotrol as opposed to other types of insulin. Or is this even insulin? Can you let me know what's the benefit to the drug? Thanks!
