thyroid cancer with extracapsular extensions

I had a recent thyroidectomy and some lymph nodes removed due to papillary thyroid cancer. 2 of my nodules had extracapsular extensions, is there anyone out there that had this, too and was cleared after one surgery and one RAI treatment? Or am I destined to have continued recurrences?
