swelling in one finger in the morning

every morning for about a month now,i wake up with one swollen finger. It's the index on my rt hand. its the only one and no other types of swelling. the joint hurts 
and after a hour or so it all goes away till the next morning.can anyone help

I'm experiencing the same right now... but the difference is that today... it's almost noon and the swelling isn't going down at all. I think it's getting worse... did you figure out what it was?
