Hi, I met my friend in the bar yesterday. We were recalling our memories on our college days while we drank coffee. We were also talking about our professors and many other things. In one moment he told me that our good friend is suffering from semantic dementia. It was so unpleasant surprise for me and I felt very sad. I would like to know more about this disorder.

Hi, my father also suffers from same disease. It started several months ago when he wasn't able to recognize some familiar words and spoke it. Soon after that his speech loses fluency and he started to make pauses while he was talking. Pauses were made because he couldn't remember some usual words. Unfortunately same as for other dementias there are not proper treatments.
