Hello. I am a guy that is 45 years old and I have developed anal fissure from no apparent reason. It hurts like hell and I have trouble seating and going to the bathroom. I have been suffering from diarrhea and I have been treated for a while for it. Is there anything that I could use to ease the pain?

Listen to your doctor. You should go on a diet so your stool would be soft and not irritate the torn part. A surgical procedure isn’t always necessary. Avoid popcorn, nuts and other foods that are digested badly. Use topical anesthetics. They are great and give you instant relief. Try pramoxine, tetracaine, lidocaine, or xylocaine.
