psychological effects of topomax

Are there any psychological side effects from topomax?

Well, I certainly had them before my dosage was adjusted. I used it for temporal lobe epilepsy. I felt as if I were high on drugs. I became paranoid and irritable, I couldn’t sleep, I became anti-social. I started avoiding my friends during this initial stage. I even stayed off work for some time. One of my friends made me see my doctor again and tell about these side effects I was experiencing. He reduced the dose and I calmed down. How strange. It was one hell of an experience!

My doctor took me off of topomax because she said it interfered with my cognitive thinking.

im 17 years old and have partial complex seizures due to a car accident. ive been taking topamax for almost 2 years and i definately feel that it has some strange side effects. i have de ja vu like a MF! other than that i guess the "normal" side effects, of severe weight loss, loss for words, ringing in my ears, numbness sometimes. im pretty used to effects that i dont even notice them anymore.
