if you have light brown bleeding but are on the pill can you still be pregnant?

i have a dilemma, i am on the pill however, i dont take them on time some times or i will forget to take them. and the same week i had unprotected sex with my bf (who has been checked for STD'S) i missed two pill's.

i really didnt think of anything about it until i started to bleed light pinkish brown blood a week before my period and just 5-7 days after having unprotected sex.

i waited a couple days thinking that maybe it was because the missed pill's, but i started get pains in my lower admine, (that would only last a little while). i started to get really scared, thinking i might be preg. so i took a preg test, (one of those once that can tell before your period starts), and it was neg. but im not sure if i took it to soon i took it 5 days before my period, is that to soon?

my period started, but it only lasted two days the first day it was heavy 3/4 the day and then started two lighten up, and my periods last a whole week.

the pains in my lower admine stopped, however, but my boob's have got bigger and harder, but they dont hurt, i have to pee more then i did, and i have been very emotional, cring a lot and stuff, ill go from happy to crying to happy to crying again.

i really dont know whats going on, could i be preg? any help would be great, thank you so much.

I have had this happen before, you need to take the pill everyday and if you miss one take it as soon as you remember. You had the brownish bleeding because your body is telling you it needs the hormones from the pills. As for the pain and crying and everything those could be symptoms from the changes in hormones, which is another good reason to not skip your pill. There is always a chance of getting pregnant, but i am sure it just because your not taking your pill like you should be.
