Hi! I am 36 year old, and I am diabetic for 20 years. I control my blood sugar regularly. I noticed that for past two years I sweat when I eat. It is mostly on the face and head. I don’t going into restaurants anymore and I hardly ever call guests for dinner because of this. It is very uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have this problem but I sweat only when I eat spicy food. I even think that smell of my sweat and skin is different at that time. I can’t tell if it’s because of the spices or something else. I am not diabetic but I suppose that when you begin eating your blood sugar naturally elevates. Why don’t you ask your doctor?

Hi. I am a 30 year old diabetic who was put on Glargine for the longer acting insulin. I noticed that a few months later I started having "face sweats" when I ate. The annoying part is that they start when I am eating anything - but at the same time dont always occur when I eat.

I can eat a sandwich for lunch today and have no face sweat and yet tomorrow can have the exact same sandwich and I have a face sweat.

This is getting more than a little embarrasing...does anyone else take Glargine as I am wondering if this is the cause?

Many thanks
