Hey darling!
Don't worry everything is possible. The first rule don't eat at night. Try to avoid eating sweet and fat meal. Walking is good. If u walk at least half an hour a day you will see the result very quickly.

I had the same situation couple of month ago when I had to loose some weight before going on vacation with my new bf. Balanced food and a little bit of walking helped!

Hello everyone!

I left a message here a little over a month ago. I mentioned that I weigh 158 pounds, and that I lead a relatively healthy life style (I walk to campus, I eat fruits and veggies, I drink plenty of water, etc...)

Well, I would like to share a little something with everyone. Since my last post here I changed a few things in my life. First of all, I started packing my own lunch. This allowed me to control my portions and to know EXACTLY what goes into my meals. I also started buying the 100 calorie packs of my favorite desserts. Now my only dessert is one of those packs per day. I am very happy because I still get my dessert every day, but I do so in a very moderate and controlled manner.

I also bought an elliptical machine, and for the past 3 weeks I have been walking 1 mile on it 4-5 times a week. One mile on an elliptical is not a lot, but nevertheless it is a form of exercise (I still have my dance class 3 times a week). I haven't been able to exercise this past week because of my back, but I am getting better and I am eager to return to my daily exercise!

As a result of my hard work, so far I have lost 6 pounds. I realize that it's not a lot, but it is a definite start. My weight loss is healthy, at no more than 2 pounds per week, so I feel good about it this time.

I am currently trying to work on another bad habit I have: eating late at night. Being a college student, I tend to stay up late working on my homework and research (I am a biology major), and I noticed that I have a very strong tendency to snack on various foods while studying. If anyone has any suggestions on how to overcome this habit, I would be very happy to hear them!

I think this post turned out to be much longer than I anticipated, but I am very excited about my weight loss, and I really wanted to share it with everyone. I hope that it will serve as a motivation to some people!

Thanks a lot for listening!!

Asya

P.S. By the way, I am a girl. I thought I'd mention that since it is probably impossible to determine that from from my name Smile

The best way to loose weight is simply to exercise.. Go to the gym or run for 20 every other day and you will see the difference within a month.
Also try not to eat junk food..the feeling of looking good is much greater than the feeling of eating sweets !! Trust me Smile x

Hi I just wanted to say you could try Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin Book with Audio CD. It's worked for everyone I know and it doesn't deprive you of the foods you love!

I know what you mean man. Its crazy and it is always on your mind. I've got problems with this myself too. I'm graduating in one month from high school and I decided that its time for change. I went out of country this year for two weeks and lost almost 20 pounds by walking, drinking, and well, going to the toilet a lot. I come back and within 5 months gain back 30 pounds. So i've decided that during the 3 months of summer holiday I'm going to get back down to at least 200 if not less. How am I going to do this? No, not by wasting my money on pills or jenny craig or any of that crap, but simple rules and hard work. Hey, these rules worked for me back in middle school, and they will sure as hell work now.

Rule 1] Wake up Early (6-8 AM) and go to Sleep Early (8-9 PM). Studies show that the longer you are awake or less sleep you get, the more you gain.

Rule 2] Eat Breakfast every morning, but not that junky crap, eat cereal and fruit

Rule 3] Eat 6 meals a day, but in small portions and time yourself, make sure you chew a lot and take at least 20 minutes to complete each meal. I find that sitting at the table with laptop reading CNN.COM or reading the paper makes me take at least 30 minutes.

Rule 4] Every time you feel hungry and open up the fridge or cabinet for something fatty and tasty, take your right hand and slap yourself real hard. And then go drink water and maybe get some fruit

Rule 5] Don't drink Coffee, Soda, or anything with sugar (Monsters). Drink Water. In fact, if you have any old soda bottles (2 liters) fill them up with water every morning to drink.

By obeying the simple rules above, you have already cut your weight gain without even doing much work. But here is where the real sweat starts to pour.

Rule 6] Walk, Run, Play sports. Do something new for a consistent amount of time every day. A few months back I just got up one day and decided to plug in my headphones and go for a walk, when I checked my watch, I had been walking for 2 hours and had gone almost 10 miles. It doesn't mean you have to run or walk every day, but at long as you do something, you will feel a change. Today, go for a walk. Tomorrow, go play some basketball. And the next day, try swimming. Studies show that its not how much you exercise, but its how long you do it for. You won't start burning fat for at least 20 minutes after you start. And there is enough evidence to say that the fatter you are, the easier it is for you to loose weight. So start it off easy - when you wake up tomorrow morning, eat some breakfast and then go for a short 30 minute to 1 hour walk around your neighborhood; and as you progress, increase your time and distance.

Rule 7] If you are addicted to computer, internet, or television, then cut the habbit. Don't watch more than 2 hours of television a week and more than 2 hours of computer a day. Why? Because when you turn on the tele, you sit on your fat ass and then fall asleep and let your body just get more massive. It helps if you get rid of your sofa all together. Or if you want to watch more television, then don't sit at all. Get a Rule stool and start doing Rules, or do push ups or sit ups or crunches while you watch. If you are too addicted to facebook or myspace or some computer game, then try unplugging your computer. If you are addicted to talking to your friends on the cellphone, then as much as you're parents will hate it, do it MORE, but instead of sitting or lying down, do it while walking.

Rule 8] GET A JOB! Its hella obvious that if you get a job during the summer, you will be moving around and sweating pounds more than sitting on the sofa. It'd good to earn some money as well.

Rule 9] Don't go out to any restaurants. Jared is a liar... Subway don't help you loose weight. Trust me!

Rule 10] Believe in yourself.

No matter what, don't loose sight of your goal and don't let anyone pressure you back into your old habbits. Also, it may be depressing, but sugar coating your weaknesses and problems will not help you at all. The first Rule to solving any problem is admitting you have a problem and confronting it. You are not heavy, you are simply fat. But so am I - So lets do this thing together this summer. I'm right along there with you.
