Hi. I have 12 month old sun that has just had heart surgery. It was very difficult time for both me and my husband. And, what is even worse is that he has scheduled the hypospadia correction. I was wondering if anyone else here has had similar experience with their boy because I would appreciate the advice, extra precautions measures…

HI. I'm sure you already know that a number of people have had similar hypospadia correction experience. If it is any comfort, you are not alone. My son Bob has had the operation too. He had his hypo done at the age of 2 and I think that is the best time to have it. I’ve heard somewhere that it should be done before age of 3 so keep that in mind. Good luck.

I know this problem of hypospadia. It's not ease to deal with, but the new methods of correction may be a solution.Owing the worldy pressures, and psychological questions i recommend don't worry so much.Strong mind and love in education and life can superate all probles involved. Many greetins from Newton

My son didn't have heart surgery, however we endured hypospadia corrective syrgery, he was 11 mos. at the time. It was more frightening & sad as a parent, he doesn't even remember. Follow the doctors orders, maintain his cleanliness & he'll be fine. My son is now 8 & doing great. Stay strong it's a very tough ordeal, what your son needs most is your love & care, I know its scary & certainly not fun, time will pass & just remember the trials which make us stronger & or love grow for whats important.
