hiv and weight loss

do you always lose weight when contractin HIV? I have alot of other symptoms but have not lost any weight? I had a test the other day but I hear it takes a few weeks to be sure.

as for the weight loss issue - i've read on sites you loose weight when contracting aids, not HIV
HIV is the virus that causes AIDS.
don't go by symptoms, they're misleading.
just wait for you're blood work to come back and try not to get too stressed out about it, relax.
