i had a teste removed approx 3 weeks ago and am still in a lot of pain, i have also noticed swelling in my groin and were the teste was removed, this now seems to be spreading across to the other side and up to the base of my penis.
i have been back to the doctors twice this week and just been given more pain killers and anti-inflamatory pills.
could anyone tell me if this is normal or should i go back to the hospital as i am very worried

Hi...
I had my left one removed on 3/18/07 that was in the stomach area. All of this happened b/c of my hernia surgery that I've had as a kid. I do have a swelling around the base of my penis and "around the had" of the penis. It looks like a ring or vein. I called my urologist b/c of the concern of the "blue penis color" and the ring along with the swellings. Overall, I was very concern. Urologist said that the blood vessel can cause the swellings b/c of the testis being removed, bleeding from or around the wound that can bleed inside as well. He assured me that the time will make everything normal. I just hope that this is true. I do also believe that since a teste is connected when taken out the connecting part must go somewhere. To summarize, I do have a lot of pain as well, swellings, etc. Lets give some time and go from there.
