gray matter heterotopic/ partical complex seizures

My 17yr. old daughter was born with gray matter heterotopic in the back rt./lft. temporal lobes, which causes uncontrollable seizures. Tried every medication, with no helpful results. Using felbamate is a last resort. How dangerous is this medication?
