girlfriend's period abnormal what could it mean?

my girlfriend recently got her period as usual, came at the same time it always does and lasted for 4 days like it always does now 2 days later her period came back. she's 18 and has had her period since she was 10 so it's not like it's normal for it to be irregular.
is it nothing to worry about or could it mean something?

Did your girlfriend start birth control? Is she under alot of stress or had any changes in her diet or anything? Sometimes different stresses can have "ugly" effects on all our bodies.

You guys both could go and buy a pregnancy test if you are concerned. Talk with her about this important issue and help her out. Many blessings
