My husband has just been diagnosed with chlymidia. He states the doctor told him that chlymida can stay dominant for long periods of time prior to out break. Is this true? Or has he been unfaithful?

As far as I know, Chlamydia is a bacterium and it needs to be eradicted from the body in order not to cause any more symptoms and to prevent complications. Only viruses stay hiden in the spine and can cause outbreaks.
Consult an expert but i think your husband's not telling the truth about this. Sorry!
