I have had this problem for about 20years & it is so bad that it keeps both me & my husband up @ nights. I do have frequent bouts of pneumonia & am a non smoker with a diagnosed allergy to cigarette smoke. It feels like there is a constant build up of mucous & it also feels like it is going to choke me. I have to take a very deep & forceful swallow to either swallow it or cough it up & it is rare that I can in fact cough this mucous up. I am under the care of Dr Peter Ford, world renown compound pharmacist who seems to think there might be some degree of mast cell degeneration & by the way I have had one episode of Hodgkins Lymphoma 7 yrs ago, Epstein Barr as a teenager and Scarlett Fever as a young child. Anyway I am curious as to a second opinion of sorts while Peter researches this problem ...plus this is driving me crazy. On the bright side I am 40 years old & i have the neck muscles of a 20 year old due to all the swallowing. Any insight on this matter would be much appreciated.
Thank You
Lanna Lanteigne
