Hi. I had a stroke and I find recovery very mentally exhausting. I feel depressed, frustrated, and helpless. How to help myself?

Hi. Recovering from a stroke is usually very hard. I had a stroke too, and I have the same problems. Recovery is always highly individualized. It also depends on the extent of damage to your brain. You must stay in touch with your friends and family. Talk with people at an adult level. You had a stroke, it doesn`t mean you can`t think. Many people have active lives after a stroke. You should relax more. Walk in nature or something. I am trying not to think about my problems. Anybody can have a stroke, after all.
