bleeding sore navel

when my son was 3 he jumped off the couch onto the floor where i happened to be laying. he landed on my stomache. it became very sore and bled. i went to my dr and they did an x-ray, my navel had a large cut on the inside that couldnt be stitched or anything. they gave me anti biotics and told me it could take a while to heal. my son is 5 now and about once a year i have to go through this again, bleeding a little and soreness. i cant see a dr , i dont have insurance. could i be aggravating this old wound in my sleep or is this something i should worry about?
