bleeding from bowel in child

For the last 4 weeks, my daughter who is 6 has started loosing blood after each bowel movement. It is like a mucousy blood on the (smelly) stool, is very red and there is a substantial amount on the tissue. She has had stool tests for infection and blood tests for inflammation but everything has come back clear. We are currently waiting to see a paediatric gastroentoroligst. She is not ill in herself although she has lost a small amount of weight and is going to the loo upto 3 times a day. Anybody got any ideas???
