Hi! My doctor suspects on lyme disease. I have same symptoms like my sister. She has Meniere's Disease. Before disease diagnosed she had balance test. Tell me what balance test is. No, matter my doctor say I will do that test.

Hi! Maybe you should do this test. Some disease which has similar symptoms like lime can be diagnosed with this test. ENG testing is really a battery of tests that contribute significantly to the information your doctor needs to diagnose your disorder. First, is testing rapid side-to-side eye movements. Second, is the pursuit test, measuring your ability to follow moving targets. Third, is a positioning maneuver test for motion-induced dizziness. Fourth, is a caloric test that introduces cool air or water and then warm air or water into the ear canal and measuring the resulting changes in eye movement. The entire test sequence usually takes approximately 2 hours.

The last straw with getting my doc to finally treat me for Lyme was the lack of balance/inner ear problems plus bad floaters all of a sudden. As soon as I took one antibiotic I could feel the die off reaction and the ears started to improve. You can die before a dr. will put the Lyme puzzle together -- just take the matter into your own hands and get a dr. to prescribe the antibiotics, and on your own get some teasel (Spiro-Nil) and make sure you take lymphatic drainage remedies . . . I'm an acupuncturist/nutritionist and let me tell you, Lyme gives you a run for your money.
