bacterial vaginosis and trichomonasis after a&p repair. i am a cancer patient with low immune sy

my obgyn tells me that i have a sexual transmitted disease. after 35 years of marriage he suggested to me that my husband was the cause and that he should be treated. i believe that he should be treated, but we have not been unfaithful. i cannot find much info on the internet or from my doctor which would help me to understand how i got infected with trichomonasis. any information would be appreciated, thank you, michelle
