ayurveda in treating cancer?

Does anyone know anything about usage of ayurveda in treating cancer? My brother in law has cancer and he started with treatment…I know that I can't help him much...but I just want to know all alternatives there are and suggested some of them. He is young man, just 42 years old.

If the cancer is detected in its early stage, then many Ayurvedic procedures and herbs as well as other herbo-mineral products can curtail the advancement of cancer. Some special herbs in the group of Rasayana are very useful in treating cancer, as their use prolongs the quality of life of cancer patients by reducing pain and other discomforts.
