autoimmune active hepititis

Hi, my friend is 42 years old and he was suffering from hepatitis several years already. At the first moment, few years ago, his doctor told him that he was suffering from chronic form of hepatitis but later his diagnose was changed. Last information is that he has autoimmune hepatitis so I would like to know something more about this disorder.

Hi, my mother is also suffering from autoimmune hepatitis. This is kind of disorder where immune system recognize its own liver as foreign body in a organism. It means that someone's organism is attacking its own liver. Therapy for such condition is immunosuppressive therapy which would make one's organism response weaker.
