Where can I find some articles on breast feedinga child? I have Hashimoto’s syndrome and have to use drugs every day. Should I breastfeed my baby? I know that breastfeeding is very important for baby’s immune system. Doctor said it is not registered that thyroid hormones supplements have side effects in lactation.

I can suggest you to read Katherine Dettwyler’s articles about breastfeeding. Articles from Jack Newman contain information about using drugs during lactation. I know that anti thyroid hormones are contraindicated in lactation. Breastfeeding is really the best for baby’s health. Talk to your doctor about dose adjustment.
