apico surgery pain after 1 month

I had a apico 1 month ago following a failed root canal. Part of the stitches pulled out before healed. My Endo says it will have to heal from the inside out. It has been very painful, the stitches that pulled out are real close to my upper lip and talking, laughing,sneezing really pull at it. The apico was done on my eyetooth. The Endo says if it's not better in 2months he will have to reopen the whole area again and restitch. Please advise some other alternative. Thank you in advance...Donna
