What are the symptoms of Menieres Disease? & How do I get tested?

I am a woman of almost 40 years, and I have Vertigo for the past 1 1/2 years. The attacks come and go. My specialist gave me a presciption for Serc, but it is losing it's effect. He said it is from a fluid built up in the inner ear, and I am starting to loose some of my hearing, in my left ear. I am very frusterated, due to the fact I have to work my life around the attacks. My question is: Is there a medical test that can determine if I have Menieres Disease? and Will my hearing return?
