Hi, my friend is 42 years old and she is suffering from Cushing disease. She is taking corticosteroid therapy and she gained a lot of weight lately. I would like to know if this weight gain is caused by medications. If someone has similar problem I would like to hear. Thank you.

Hi, my mother is also suffering from Cushing disease and she has same problem like your mom. Corticosteroid therapy is causing gain of weight but also has other bad effects. You need to talk to her doctor about lowering doses of drug when disease is in remission. It may help her to reduce her weight.
