Weight caused by stress

I always stress&my cuzin tells me 2 stop. But i seriously can't help it!! I stressed today when she was late coming over & i was just thinkin the worst thing had happened!!! I was wondering if i have put on weight from stressing too much.? If anyone know's anything about this please let me know. thnx

Yes, stress can have an effect on ones weight. Stress can impede your metabolic rate, therefore your body won't be burning as many calories, therefore one can eat the same amount of food as previously and put on weight. There is a statistic that 80% of illnesses can be traced to stress.
