Hi. I’m a 47 years old female. I’ve had this a lump under one arm for almost 3 months now. At first I thought it was a swollen lymph node but when it didn't vanish after treating it with meds for that purpose, I had c-t scan and ultrasound. Basic diagnosis was that lump was there but it was not lymph node swelling. That was 2 months ago and I was not too concerned about it to much afterwards. But, lump is showing no signs of going away and it also itches. I also have no fever or other sign of infection but I have lost some weight. If it's not a lymph node should I worry about it??? What could this be?? Please help!

If indeed it is a firm swelling that is not inflammatory in nature then you may want to have a surgeon look at it. He will probably decide to take a sample from it or to excise it altogether. Only then you’ll have more info. Otherwise, it is not much to give diagnose on…
