Several days ago I noticed what can only be described as the right side of my scrotum contracting and causing pain. It's as if the left side has dropped and taken up the slack in skin. I am 45 & in good health.
Any thoughts.

I had problems with my scrotum as well but this doesn’t ring a bell but the thing is that you didn't give much info either. What do you mean by contracting? Moving up and down, or shrinking…..?

Do you have any following symptoms besides this pain you mentioned?
Was there any trauma to this area?
Did this by any chance happen while you were asleep?

My urologist told me that pain in the scrotum most commonly comes from epididymitis when he diagnosed me with it.

However, I had a bunch of disturbing symptoms and besides pain I can’t relate them to your symptoms.

If this pain of yours continues to causes discomfort, maybe you should see a urologist and see what it is all about.
Maybe you also have some bacterial inflammation or something, and I reckon you should have a look.
