My child keeps complaining on sensation of a fishbone caught in the throat and has difficulty swallowing. It happened once before, but he was ok after few days. I’ve noticed that his tonsils are swollen too. Are these symptoms of a strep throat? I am hoping for some homeopathic remedy. Any suggestion?

Homeopathic medicines are often effective in treating the acute symptoms of a sore throat, although I think that professional care is usually necessary to cure chronically recurring sore throats. He should receive a culture to determine if he has strep throat. Apis is remedy recommended for children with swollen tonsils. This remedy should be considered when the throat hurts even when the child isn't swallowing or has a sensation of a fishbone caught in the throat.

ok...hi everyone. im 19 years old and i have had whatever this feeling is in my neck for a very long time and it's really uncomfortable. i always feel like i have a heavy full thick pressure feeling in my neck. i always had a hard time breathing, the feeling that you can't catch your breath and you get an uncomfortable sensation, i would always see doctors and they would just say don't worry it's probably just anxiety which i knew it wasn't because i knew what anxiety felt like because i had it awhile before and it was a different thing. i finally saw a specialist and he said that i had poor lung function and that i was running a half a marathon everyday, he couldn't believe it. i was then on prednesone for 7 weeks. i felt great on it, it helped the breathing and in the process it made my neck feel better than sensation went away, but then i had to come off of it because after like the 6th week i started getting a fullness in my face. so i got off of it... and then i felt that uncomfortable sensation again. OMG. so i thought i should see a thyroid specialist so i did and the doctor ended up not being there so it was a nurse practioner that looked around and said everything looked fine and i got the antibodie tests and the bloodtests and they were negative, but all my symptoms sounded like that, tender, i can't stand things around my neck, the pressure feeling, so im going back for a second opinion, i have had x rays, barrium swallow, ct scan, MRI which all showed negative. so i then ended up going to see an ENT he said that he felt really bad because i was in there for the same reason last august and im in there noq again and the problem yet again hasn't been solved again so he suggested seeing an gastrologist, so they can go down my throat and look around...i know a lot of people on here just write a few sentences but i wanted to write the whole thing so people get the whole picture otherwise people just pascify what ur saying...someday soon i hope to find the answer but for now does anbody have any advice for me or does it sound like it could have anything to do with what a gastro person does...it would be greatly appreciated...thank you ~Alyssa

I just finished reading your posting. Have you found a diagnosis yet? I too have very similar, if not exact, symptoms but have yet to find a diagnosis. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. I started getting all these symptoms 4 months ago following a virus. I can't get rid of it and its getting me down and in the way of my job. After several visits to my GP, I still have no answer...

I have the same feeling and I just had a barium swallow today, I don't know the results yet, but my Dr thinks that it my be due to sinus drainage. He is looking to take out my tonsils. It feels like I have on a tight turtle neck all of the time

I also have the same problem after having sick 4 months ago. The doctor prescribes me all antibiotics, and medicine for GERD and post nastal dip. But, it just doesn't work. At first, doctor though the post nastal dip. Later, though GERED and again the drug resistant flu or virus and precirbes me all kinds of medicine. I have no fever, no weight lost. I felt like sore throat symtoms and feel that my thoat has a minor pain. If somebody knows what it is about, please, please let us know.
