Have you maybe noticed a protruding bump in the area where it hurts or somewhere near? Have you noticed a pattern in the timing when the pain occurs? Is it more apparent when you for example sneeze, cough or laugh?
The only thing I can think of, considering the area where the pain’s coming from is that you have developed
inguinal hernia. Inguinal hernia means that a part of
small bowel has protruded through a weak muscle wall in lower abdomen. It may go all the way down to the groins and scrotum. In most cases, there is a visible and touchable lump, which becomes even more noticeable when you laugh, cough or sneeze and the pain/discomfort occurs in those moments as well.
Another possible cause is that you have sprained a muscle and the only way to know for sure is have it looked at by a doctor.
