HI all. I think that I have the infection of some kind but don’t know which one… I have few small red and pink bumps on both hands… I first noticed them 3-4 days ago but did not pay too much attention to it. But, since then they even got bigger... Now I’m worried and don’t know what to do... Any advices or comments?? Could it be sporotrichosis? What should I do and how can I threat this?? Thanks a lot.

From what you wrote I believe that you have Sporotrichosis (caused by a fungus called Sporothrix schenckii). It is usually caused by a fungus living in soil and on plants, rotting garden material, and wood. Anyway, you should be able to successfully treat it with any of antifungal meds you can find. Also, a wet, warm washcloth put on the sores may help your sores heal. But, I would still recommend you see a dermatologist to have a look at it – just to be sure and get the professional treatment advice. Hope this helps.
