I get the itchy feet syndrome in bouts that last sometimes a day to sometimes weeks or more. My feet get super itchy, almost symetrically in both feet at once. The itch will start in the heel, to the ankle, the inside arch up to my toes. No outward symptoms such as rash, cracked or dried skin. The itching seems it can go as fast as it comes. While I'm itching, it seems my feet sweat a bit, and if I scratch a lot, small bumps form. The only way I've found to get the itch to go away is by scalding my feet with hot water. I've seen my allergist, and general Dr. and ended up with prescriptions for prednisone that don't seem to work. I've tried all kinds of powders, lotions, and foot baths to no avail. If anybody finds anything that really helps or some sort of professional diagnosis, please share.
