Hi. I was diagnosed thrombosis of my leg veins. My doctor suggests me thrombectomy as a possible solution to my problem. I don’t know anyone who went under this procedure. I would like to know SUccess rates of this method. I would really appreciate all your replies. Thank you all for replying.

Hello. My father went under this procedure last year. He had a leg vein thrombosis. His condition was acute. His leg was swollen and he felt severe pain. This procedure went well. Success rate of thrombectomy is about 70 to 100% when combined with other treatment methods. Those methods would be: anticoagulant medications, thrombolysis, angioplasty and stenting and placement of vena cava filter. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
