i am a teen, not sexually active, and lately i have been noticing some strange symptoms. It is making me feel different and it is not good. I have felt sick, but have no reason... my symptoms include frequent urination, discharge, burning/tingling sensation, urgent urination but less urine, swelling of vulva, chills, and sometimes slight fever! I have also had a sore throat lately, but i think it was unrelated! I have been very busy and stressed lately, can this be a cause of these symptoms. I also missed my period a few weeks ago, but my next one should be coming soon. I think these are all signs of some sort of infection, but i dont know what it is? i need some advice, what is this and what should i do???

thanks!

Well, you should make an appointment with a gynecologist and have it checked. It could be bacterial infection or yeast. None of these two are sexually transmitted. Bacteria could be contracted from anal area by improper wiping from bottom to top or with your hands. Yeast overgrowth occurs after antibiotic treatment, douching, harsh detergent, in diabetes patients and is likely to occur when the immune system is suppressed like usring high levels of stress.
You could have missed your period because of stress as well. I would suggest you saw a doctor asap to get this over with.

sounds like a urinary tract infection, but I could be wrong. the symptoms of a UTI include swelling (obvious, because of infection), frequent need to urinate with almost no urine coming out, burning during urination, pain. UTIs are not sexually transmitted and almost every woman experiences at least one throughout her lifetime. they're very easy to treat.. go to the doctor and you'll be prescribed some antibiotics (if it is in fact a UTI) and drink a lot (lots of cranberry juice, it helps Wink )
