Rib pain and headaches.

Hi im 20 n im a student. Im a very fit lad always partaking in sports, 5 weeks ago i was mugged and recieved substantial blows to my ribs which bruised up. In the past week i have been recieving bursts of pain from the upper part of my ribs and they are then followed by a headache. Are these the syptoms of something seriopus?
