Menstrual sepression and extended periods

Hi there. I haven't been able to find anything that really explains my problem.

I didn't want to have my period for a couple of months because I haven't been home when I would normally have it, and I'm on birth control so I just didn't take the inactive pills and I started a new pill pack. The first month I had some bleeding, but the second month nothing happened. I tried it again this month but I started bleeding on a Monday (usually its a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.) It's now Friday of the next week (12 days later) and I'm still bleeding. I'm still taking my pills every day as usual. I would appreciate anyone's advice or if someone could just tell me this is normal and not something to worry about. Also if this has happened to anyone else, could you tell me when the bleeding stopped for you? I have a wedding to go to with my boyfriend and would just like it to be over by then. Thanks so much!
