Medical pot allowed on California highways

"Individuals are to be released and the marijuana is not to be seized if the person qualifies under state law to possess marijuana for medicinal purposes. It is also said that officers shall not conduct traffic enforcement stops for the primary purpose of drug interdiction involving the authorized use of medical marijuana.”
This is a new policy of Californian Highway Patrol.
Medical marijuana advocates were complaining that the highway patrol had been responsible for more arrests of patients and caregivers than any other agency in the state, which means that the doctors were not spared either, and they asked for the constitutionality of patients needs to be protected.
After this new decision, patients and marijuana advocates cheered the CHP`s decision as a victory for individual rights.
