Nutritional therapy should be an important component of the treatment of ADHD and will also help keep your child free of many other diet related disorders. The best way to ensure that your child eats an additive-free diet is to buy only fresh foods and prepare them yourself, feed your entire family a whole-foods diet. B vitamins are healing to stressed-out nerves. Good sources include brown rice, brewer’s yeast, and leafy green vegetables. Food that’s high in vitamin C will encourage the release of these toxins from the body, so feed your child citrus fruits for desserts. Iron deficiency is linked to short attention spans and memory problems, unsulfured blackstrap molasses to give your child an adequate amount of this mineral Make sure to keep blood-sugar levels balanced by avoiding simple sugars and refined carbohydrates and providing adequate protein with meals (nuts, legumes, lean poultry, and fish). Regularly serve brain-healthy foods that are rich in essential fatty acids, include fish (trout, salmon, halibut), nuts (walnuts, almonds), and ground flaxseeds. Do not feed your child anything with artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. This means you’ll have to eliminate fast food, as well as all junk and processed food. Eliminating sugar include most sore-bought fruit juices, which is famous for making children hyper.

Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADD or ADHD) is defined as age-inappropriate impulsiveness, lack of concentration, and sometimes excessive physical activity. ADHD has been associated with learning difficulties and lack of social skills. ADHD often goes undiagnosed if not caught at an early age, and it affects many adults who may not be aware of their condition. Dr Balch’s nutritional team has created a formula designed to support treatment of this disorder in adults. Powerful components have been included to assist nervous system health as well as address any underlying deficiencies. Phosphatidylserine, essential fatty acids contained in Evening Primrose Oil and Flax Seed Powder, play critical roles in normal brain functions. Two minerals, Calcium and Magnesium, are involved in the relaxation of the nervous system. Vitamin B Complex 50 and Vitamin B6 are important brain vitamins. Multivitamin provides basic nutrients for brain health. GABA has been shown to induce calming effects. Ginkgo Extract is believed to be beneficial for brain function. Zinc deficiency has been found common in people with ADHD. Copper can improve the activities of Zinc. St. John's Wort Extract is a natural tranquilizer.

You may not find this comment useful or you may think it is a joke, however im serious. I have tried Ritalin, adderal, concerta, etc. for adhd and eventually i stopped taking meds all together. I found marijuana to be helpful in suppressing my adhd. May not be the type of herbal remedies you were looking for, but it worked for me.
