Lip swollen for a 6 days now

I want to know if this is normal or not. I got in a car accident. I hit my lip. Like bust it pretty good. My bottom lip was the one affected. it only the right side of my lip. I look like eddie murphy from nutty professor. I am very close to going to the doctor. it is been 6 days swelling has not down. It almost like painful when I touch my lip hard. I been icing it but no real change at all. I have had a fat lip before, but only 2-3 days a most. I starting to think it is infected, but nothing got in there from my knowledge.

It is more likely that you have what is called a "Hematoma", blood that is stuck in your tissue. You may have to have it opened up and drained.
