Dear Rachel,
hormone replacement therapy (or HRT as we usually call it) may increase the risk of breast and endometrial cancer. On the other hand HRT decreases the risk of heart disease and hip fractures resulting from osteoporosis. Of course, each woman is a different one and different treatments can have different results. In my case it gave a good result. Personally, I can’t advise you to do or not to do it. All I can suggest is that you visit your dr. and discuss this matter with him. He will need to check your blood pressure, heart rate, and cholesterol in order to give you correct advice. In meantime, take a lot of vitamins!!! Take care.
