Hello,
My sister has a baby with epilepsy. The whole family is very worried since this has been discovered only week ago… We are all very worried for his health… will he have to take seizure medicines? Are there any others non-chemical remedies?
Thanks for advice!

Hello,
The treatment of seizures with babies is determined by the type of seizures. Sometimes, in some cases, no treatment is needed… this is usual when seizure is an isolated event. Hmmm…non-chemical remedies.. well, in some cases, reson for seizures with newborn is lack of some nutrients, such as calcium, B6 or low blood sugar… and with the replacement of this nutrients, further seizures can stop.
But, unfortunately, most of the time, infants with seizures must be treated with seizure medicines. This is up to doctors to decide…
Good luck! I pray for your nephew!
