Im very very nervous/scared!

Well im new to this site but I found it and thought maybe by some luck of the irish i could find the right answers. I was on birth control for about a year and had to stop for medical reasons, and since then have not had regular periods. I have been sexually active since I went off the birth control and i fear that somehow i might be pregnant. First off, is this possible if we use a condom and it has spermicide and also will this effect the regularity of my periods (being off birth control and having sex). I really cannot have a baby right now and I would love some input as to what to do. I can not go back on the birth control because of my mental health (not like im crazy just my hormones are messed up) what should i do ?!?!?!?!

I'd say go to you doctor or family planning clinic if you are worried you might be preggers as soon as possible. and talk to them about alternative methods of contraception. there are some methods apart from condoms that dont use hormones. i think one of the udis doesnt. if you use a condom and it breaks there is a chance u might b preggers, but if it didnt break the chances are very small. still best to get checked out.
