Two and a half years ago, I had my first child. Before I was 130 pds, to me that's fairly slim. At nine months of being pregnant, I was 201 pds. In my early months of being pregnant I complained that I wasn't big enough. Towards the end my weight skyrocketed. Right now I would say I weigh between 170 to 180 pds and I'm 5'7'' and I am so self- concious about it. Don't get me wrong I'm a beautiful person in side and out and I actually like my weight (some in the right places), but the only problem I have is my stomach flubber. I'm not used to it and I'm blessed to have a mate who isn't bothered by it. In my early years I used to be a stripper, so I'm used to being proportioned. I mean it affects me in my relationship because sometimes my man wants me to dance for him and I won't because I'm not happy with my body. I mean I bearly let him see me with my clothes off. And he gets so angry because he says he wouldn't be with me if he had a problem with my weight. Now anybody who is having similar problems feel me when I say it's so much competition out here and b/f I didn't mind because I could wear my clothes a certain way and be comfortable with myself. Now a days it's all about the women with a slim waist, a flat stomach, and a big booty and I have a nice booty Laughing, but it's just that I want my man to look at other women ( because I know he gonna look) and be able to say she ain't got nothing on my baby, not I wish my girl looked like that. Not saying that's how he feel that's just how I feel he feel because I know men. I may be wrong but even if I still want to be able to look in the mirror and say to myself damn I'm hot Wink i just want advice and I want to know if anyone else feel the way that I feel.

Hey.

Well.. no magic pills will do the work for you - only 2 things: proper nutrition (including 5 small meals, breakfast, drinking water, avoiding juices and stuff like that) and exercise (cardio exercise like running, fast walking, swimming and similar). If you do it right, you should lose weight the healthy way in several months (it is healthy to lose 1-2 pounds a week) and keep it off for good.

I hope this helps.

Taya

Oh, Keke, I went through the same exact thing as you....pretty much identical. I was 135lb when I got pregnant, and I was 210lbs when I had my daughter!!! Ridonculous!! I did not lose most of my weight until I joined a gym when my daughter was about 5 months and I could finally stand leaving her for a little bit. As soon as I started working out, the weight just dropped off. I am still not down to my pre-pregnancy weight and probably never will be....but I am more confident because I did do the work to get it off and have kept it off. My husband loves me no matter what, or he wouldn't have married me after we had her. Sure, I still have the insecurities just as you do, but I'm telling you what...working out, going to the gym, eating healthier...those things alone will boost your confidence and make you feel better about yourself and your body. I even had a c-section so I have the "apron" and I hate it....but what I tell myself is that I would not take back one stretch mark, one varicous vein, or one pound of fat because it just shows that I am a mother which is the best thing to be in the entire world. The joy of having a "perfect" body does not compare to the joy of seeing that little precious angel everyday. Just remind yourself that you are a beautiful mother....if you keep telling yourself that, you will feel better about yourself.

Good luck! It may take a bit of time, but you will drop the weight if you really want to. You will never have your pre-mommy body back, but hey, thats OK, and your man loves you for that!!!! I mean shoot...if he didn't love you AND your body he would not even be asking you to do little tease dances for him. That man loves you!

So, I just realized that you said you have dropped your weight and are down to 170-180...that is awesome. And that belly flubber, well for many women it just doesn't go anywhere without a tummy tuck. Its because of all the stretching.

My To-Do List (after having another child):

1. Get a tummy tuck, but until then, love my body and who I am and be proud that I gave birth to one of the most beatiful charismatic little girls who will ever walk the face of this earth...
