I took the morning after pill whilst on my period

Me and my boyfriend decided to have sex towards the end of my menstal cycle, we didn use protection and so we went and bought the morning after pill. There was no more bleeding and i just assumed i had finished my period. Now three days later i am bleeding? Why is that?

That's happened with be before both in sex and masturbating. I'm figuring it's normal, it's never caused any problems.

The morning after pill 'upsets' your cycle. It is a high dose of hormones which tricks your body into thinking that it already ovulated, well after we ovulate we have a period later.
The morning after pill does cause menstrual upset like you describe, when taken while you are on your period.
