Hi. Few days ago I started feeling a pain in my lower back. At first I did not pay too much attention to it and I just took few painkillers. But, later, when pain came back, even more intense, I started to worry. I’ve also noticed few very hard lumps at the very base of my back sensitive to touch and are causing me a lot of pain. I think that could be the cause for the pain I’ve first felt. They are about 1,5 inches in diameter and very painful even though there is no redness or anything similar. Does anybody know what this could be and weather there is a way to treat this? I would really appreciate any kind of help.

It is very difficult to come to any conclusions without seeing the lumps so I will not make any. On the other hand, even though it will only temporarily help you, you could use some Advil to treat pain and inflammation. Also, you could try treating lumps with cotton swabs dipped in glycerine over them but I don’t know how much it will help you because I don’t know the right cause for them. Hope this helps at least a bit.
